Anti-Christian Exodus International Releases New Ex-Gay iPhone App

March 19, 2011

Exodus International

Exodus International has released another iPhone application in an attempt to spread their message of hate, intolerance and bigotry.  Their most recent application promotes gay reparative therapy as a means of eliminating ‘same-sex attraction’.   Exodus International feels their misunderstood.  According to an interview with CBN, Jeff Buchanan says that they want to represent a biblical world view of sexuality and it represents diversity.  Jeff says they “simply want to communicate the message of Jesus” and how to “redemptively respond to this issue”.

Jeff- bigotry, hate and intolerance is not diversity.  Jeff claims they’ve received a lot of testimony on how Exodus International has helped people deal with homosexuality.  However, it’s interesting that a former founder of  Exodus International Michael Bussee  is now one of their most vocal critics.  He became ex-ex-gay after he met and fell in love with Gary Cooper, another Exodus International member.

Michael Bussee in his video explains how when he and now partner Gary came out of the closet at the ministry they lost everyone.  Their families and their church turned against him.  He said even his sister  prayed that Michael be miserable.  This is the behavior of an organization that is trying to sell the message of Jesus?  Sorry folks, we must be reading about two different Jesus… Your Jesus is anti-Christian and bastardizes the Gospel.

Heather Sells of CBN News reports on the developing story surrounding the protests against the recently released Exodus smartphone application now available on iTunes. Currently the petition on Change.org has over 5,900 signatures and Apple has taken no action to date. You can help by voicing your support to Apple and by leaving positive feedback as well as a high rating on the iTunes site. We will provide more information as the story develops. Thanks for your support!

I would agree, except Apple is a company and not a government institution and has the right to decide what is and isn’t acceptable to their customer. Its no different than a grocery store chosing to sell one brand of ketchup over another…

While I agree with the opinion above, that Exodus Int. is not serving the public good, at the same time, it also seems to me that this is censorhip, restricting freedom of speech and religious freedom. Silencing that message, even if you disagree with it, sets a bad precedent for free speech.

1st off, let me thank all of you right wing fanatics for showing just how ignorant you really are… And thank you Apple for decided what my next phone will not be. If you were true to your religion, you would not Judge Homosexuals, You would know know what they did, when they did it, or why. You are all guilty of the Sin Of Knowing and yes you will find that is says in the Bible that any who judge people for these acts are twice damned for the Sin Of Knowing. You whackos pull verses from the Bible out of context, spread them around and the other Sheep baa baa, Being led to slaughter pick it up and think it is Gospel. Leviticus and Levitican laws, were set in place for the Jewish Faith, NOT the Christian Faith. People who try to use these verses to create hate are not true Christians. People who use anything to create Hatred of anything are NOT TRUE CHRISTIANS. Show me in the Bible where Jesus says to hate Homosexuals. IT IS NOT YOUR JOB TO DAMN ANYONE!! That is for God alone to do. We were given free will and we are given Grace if we accept Jesus PERIOD. I feel so bad for your souls. You are prideful and wicked and the Lord will deal with you in time. All I can do is pray for you and try to witness for the Lord for you to come to the true teachings.
People are who they are and nobody can change that. Maybe you need to clean your own windows before judging the neighbors laundry.
