Sutherland Institute Wants Medicaid Recipients to Perform Community Service

February 6, 2011

The Sutherland Institute is hard at work on Capital Hill influencing friends and God knows what else.  One of my favorite is requiring community service for Medicaid recipients.   Kevin Stratton of the Sutherland Institute emailed me with their latest testaments:

SJR 5, which would add performance goals to any legislation creating a new government agency, program or spending measure. The goals would be used to evaluate effectiveness. Click here to view a recent forum we hosted with the bill’s sponsors.
HB 211, a bill that would institute a pilot program to require Medicaid recipients (those who are able) to give back to their communities through service.
SB 142, a bill requiring that contact information for elected officials be made public.
